These stainless steel tanks have limited capacity – usually 3-5-10-15 hl – and a tubular frame that makes it possible to place them easily on pallets or to stack them for temporary or more permanent storage. They were designed to hold liquids from larger tanks and then be moved around easily using a forklift. In truth, they can act as a simple storage space, double as a micro-macerator or even be used for fermentation. The micro-macerator has the same features as a slightly larger fermenter (heat exchange to control fermentation temperature, bottom door, partial or total discharge valve, sample valve, connections for nitrogen injection, etc.), making it ideal for small companies or fermentation tests on small quantities.
Since the pallet-ready tanks can be stacked on top of each other, the wine or liquid can be transferred from one tank to the next simply using the power of gravity.
The strong frame makes moving these tanks remarkably simply, even when full.
When you want to create a small amount of a wine with specific features, this fermentation vessel can be used for a small quantity of product that can then be given distinctive features.
In those bumper years, these tanks can be a godsend as they can be used to store any excess or even to ferment grapes.
The structural design of these tanks means they can have unique, coloured and customised compositions. They can become design elements for unimaginable walls!
These horizontal stainless steel tanks are placed on tank saddles to make them easier to transport on trucks and place on flat surfaces. They can have special holes to facilitate placement on the truck using a forklift.
They can also be fitted with all the same equipment as a normal tank, including partial or total discharge valves, hatches, levels etc.
The tanks are built to be easy and quick to move between one means of transport and the next.
Placing one of our tanks on a moving vehicle won’t compromise the quality or strength, or – importantly – the product it contains.
